About The Position

The Controller / HR Manager is responsible for managing the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll, and human resources administration. This role plays a key part in supporting leadership, ensuring compliance, and maintaining a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in accounting, controller, or finance role required
  • HR management experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, and employment compliance
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive or multi-location business experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, and general ledger
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Manage payroll processing and payroll reporting
  • Maintain budgets, cash flow tracking, and financial forecasting
  • Coordinate with external accountants and tax professionals
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Administer employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintain personnel files and HR documentation
  • Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and employee questions
  • Support recruiting, hiring, and employee relations
  • Assist leadership with performance management and policy implementation
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practice
