About the Role The Controller Corporate is responsible for owning the corporate books, close integrity, consolidations, and financial reporting processes for the companys corporate entities, ensuring accurate, audit-ready financial results while partnering closely with Operational Accounting and FP&A.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting (CPA required)
  • 812+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, controllership, or financial reporting
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and demonstrated ability to apply GAAP in a multi-entity environment
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, consolidations, and audit support
  • Ability to balance detailed accounting execution with broader financial oversight
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools

Responsibilities

  • Own the corporate general ledger, close process, and consolidation activities for all corporate entities
  • Prepare and maintain consolidated and consolidating financial statements
  • Direct, review, and approve corporate accounting activity to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Review, approve, and determine appropriate corporate journal entries; prepare and post select centralized or judgment-driven entries (e.g., interest, depreciation, allocations, consolidating adjustments) as needed
  • Lead corporate consolidation processes, including intercompany eliminations and reporting roll-forwards
  • Ensure corporate account reconciliations and balance sheet review is completed
  • Stay up to date on GAAP technical accounting standards and guide appropriate application
  • Serve as the primary owner of corporate-level accounting judgments, ensuring consistent application and alignment across entities
  • Own corporate close governance, including close calendars, deliverables, and readiness for reporting and audit
  • Lead external audit preparation and execution (PBC coordination, support schedules, technical documentation) while partnering with broader accounting team and finance leadership
  • Partner closely with FP&A to: Explain consolidated financial results and key drivers; bridge GAAP results to management reporting views; support executive reporting, forecasting alignment, and analytical review
  • Interface with regional and dealership accounting teams as needed to resolve financial statement close and reporting matters
  • Identify and drive improvements that impact close efficiency, reporting automation, documentation, and internal controls
  • Build and lead by providing oversight and direction to supporting accounting resources (e.g., staff accountants) to ensure effective workload delegation and sustainable close timelines
  • Own and continuously improve internal controls over financial reporting
