About The Position

The Turbine & Generator Controls (TGC) Division of Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis (MD&A) is looking for an experienced Control Systems Operations Manager in its Fort Collins, CO, location. We are seeking candidates who have a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work. This position will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the execution side of the Turbine & Generator Controls Division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in the power industry
  • Basic knowledge of pre-digital control systems (pre-1990) required
  • Experience working with OEM new and retrofit turbine control systems
  • Turbine auxiliary systems knowledge including hydraulics, valve actuators, trip systems, and other mechanical components related to turbine operation
  • Generator startup and operation experience
  • Basic knowledge of plant operations and project management fundamentals
  • 15% travel required, mainly domestic with the possibility of international travel

Responsibilities

  • Implements and develops operational strategies aligned with the division’s business and people strategies and objectives
  • Drives operational efficiency and optimization to achieve lower operational costs while maintaining strong customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for the overall field service schedules, ensuring a high level of quality, accuracy, and adherence to customer deliverables
  • Manage large scale projects for the division to meet customer and business needs
  • Lead a team of field service and engineering resources, ensuring employees are adhering to safety regulations and standard operating procedures, and development of employees to support continued growth and talent planning
  • Oversight of the Fort Collins facility to provide a safe and collaborative work environment
  • Collaborate with division leaders and finance to manage the operational financials while ensuring growth and profitability of the Turbine & Generator Controls business
