As a Senior Control Systems Engineer at the American Centrifuge Manufacturing facility in Oak Ridge, TN, you’ll be the go-to expert for process control systems that run our advanced operations. You’ll design, optimize, and troubleshoot control systems, ensuring everything runs safely, reliably, and efficiently—while collaborating across operations, maintenance, and engineering. What You Will Do: You will be exercising responsibility for accomplishing complex systems assignments on schedule and on budget. Working with a multi-disciplinary engineering organization involving electro-mechanical systems, you’ll be able to perform conceptual process control systems design, determination of process control system strategy, design of assembled programming, preparation of bills of material, and cost estimates. You’ll lead optimization efforts to reduce downtime and improve efficiency, while also training operators and maintenance personnel. You’ll track and trend plant system performance, deliver critical reports to leadership, and bring cross-functional teams together when challenges arise. You’ll also support integrated system testing and partner with field technicians to resolve complex technical issues—always with an eye toward safety, compliance, and reliability. Expect to travel approximately 10%-15% of the time.
