About The Position

Tessera is seeking a skilled Control Systems Operator III to monitor, control, troubleshoot, and repair building automation and control systems at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor. This role is critical to ensuring reliable facility operations, system efficiency, and compliance with safety and performance standards. The Control Systems Operator III will work closely with team members to implement system upgrades, monitor performance, and support energy-saving initiatives while providing technical guidance to staff.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma/GED is required, associate degree preferred.
  • 0-3 years' experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education allowed
  • Experience with building automation systems, or related technology.
  • Basic understanding of control theory, HVAC systems, and energy management practices.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and operates industrial control systems and related equipment.
  • Supports troubleshooting and resolving issues related to DDC Systems, including sensors, actuators, and controllers.
  • Assists to manipulate, control, and monitor system conditions, support maintenance, and performing point checks.
  • Reviews and analyzes control schematics, graphics, diagrams, and system documentation to aid in diagnostics and repairs.
  • Educates and trains staff on the operation of DDC systems.
  • Maintains accurate records of service performed, system changes, and inventory of parts.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during all operational procedures.
  • Conducts routine monitoring and inspections on DDC systems to ensure accurate functionality and reliability.
