About The Position
Operates the processes by which raw materials is cooked and processed into a high-quality product for sale. This is accomplished by performing the following duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must have a valid driver license
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Responsibilities
- Starts the conveyance system to bring raw materials into the process area.
- Observes pressure, temperature, and meters on the panel to verify specified operation of automatic and manual systems, and regulators.
- Turns and adjusts controls to set specified feed of materials during different stages of the process.
- Observes gauges and dials to detect malfunctions and makes repairs or reports a malfunction for repair.
- Maintains log of meter and gauge readings and records data to help maintain high quality finished products.
