Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate the work of staff providing services to the department and the public.
• Control and monitor video security cameras and access gates within the detention facility.
• Maintain communication with field officers and coordinate emergency calls with law enforcement and fire agencies.
• Assist with difficult callers and unusual situations as the first line supervisor.
• Interview, select, and train new employees while establishing performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with city and department policies and procedures.
• Assist in implementing division goals and prepare monthly performance reports.
• Operate telecommunication and security video equipment, ensuring functionality and arranging repairs as needed.
• Confirm warrants for field officers and coordinate inmate transportation and release processes.
• Access and enter data into specialized databases related to inmate information.
• Maintain automated and manual logs, records, and files.
• Participate in budget preparation and monitor financial transactions.
