About The Position

As an EVMS Control Account Manager, you will play a leading role in ensuring the successful execution of projects within our EVMS framework. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Quality Program Manager (QPM), EV Finance, Scheduling, and Program Management to plan and manage scope of work within schedule and budget. This is a unique opportunity to apply your EVMS expertise in a broader context, driving project success and contributing to Quality initiatives in our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business area.

Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, with four years of applicable experience, OR an Associate's degree with six years of applicable experience, OR the overall equivalent.
Minimum four years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a defense or aerospace industry.
Proven experience managing large-scale programs or projects, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and practices, including the ability to interpret and analyze EVM data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, engineering, procurement, and finance.
Ability to adapt to changing program requirements and priorities.
Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), EVMP (Earned Value Management Professional), or CAM (Control Account Manager) are highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
Proposal estimating background or exposure to Basis of Estimates (BOE’s).
Advanced Microsoft M365 skillset, including optimizing SharePoint Online and Teams, as well as developing and automating workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps, and advanced Excel capabilities.
Proficiency in EVMS tools and software, such as Deltek’s Open Plan and Cobra, Primavera, and/or PM Compass.

Responsibilities

Plan, manage and deliver the scope of work within your allocated Control Account to quality standards
Establish and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Dictionary for the package
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and manage work scope, schedule, and budget
Perform appropriate breakdown of CWBS into discrete packages of work for each of their Control Accounts
Development / definition of WBS Dictionary statements for each Control Account and for individual Work Packages. They should include: Definition of SoW; Inputs / Dependencies; Deliverables and Milestones
Select and assign an Earned Value measurement technique for each Work Package
Time-phase budget assignments (labor and non-labor)
Commence planning for long lead time work where appropriate
Identify appropriate changes to maintain baseline integrity
Identify and manage risks and opportunities
Maintain an up-to-date report on progress against both the Master Schedule and Estimate to Completion (ETC) and, where appropriate, report Earned Value (EV) data
Perform Variance and Performance analysis on the EV data
Identify appropriate corrective actions and supportive narrative for key (major) issues. Log management actions
Implement and maintain EVMS processes and procedures to measure project performance and identify variances
Track progress and actual costs
Provide regular status updates and reports to project stakeholders
Serve as a subject matter expert on EVMS principles and practices
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and optimize EVMS processes
