PURPOSE OF JOB: This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in healthcare, medical devices, biotech, or health insurance contract administration. This position will work closely with internal teams to ensure agreements align with regulatory and business requirements. This role will be hybrid - work from the San Mateo, CA office 3 days a week and remotely 2 days a week.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of commercial agreements, contract compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Proficiency with contract management/lifecycle systems and e-signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in contracts management or legal operations
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience plus education

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, biotech, or health insurance contract administration preferred.
  • Experience with GPO and IDN contracts is beneficial
  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, biotech, or health insurance contract administration is highly preferred
  • Strong preference of prior experience with IDN/GPO’s

Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining commercial agreements, including, purchase agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and service agreements.
  • Oversee contract execution, track key milestones, and manage renewals.
  • Manage incoming contract requests, gather necessary documentation, and route contracts for review and approval.
  • Ensure contract terms and templates align with internal policies, legal standards, and industry regulations; proactively identify and address risks.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and other teams to ensure efficient contract workflows.
  • Maintain and update standard contract templates, clauses, and version control within contract management/lifecycle systems.
  • Develop and implement playbooks, how-to guides, and training materials to educate internal teams on contract policies and best practices. Conduct workshops or training sessions as needed.
  • Utilize contract management tools to streamline contract administration.
  • Generate reports on contract obligations, key metrics, and compliance trends.
  • Identify inefficiencies in contract workflows and implement automation or improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide strategic administrative support for special projects and additional tasks as needed for the Legal department.
