About The Position

Thompson Holdings Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contracts Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of contracts across the organization. This role is responsible for reviewing, redlining, negotiating, and administering a wide variety of agreements while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and legal counsel to ensure compliance and minimize risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in contract management, contract administration, or a related role
  • Strong understanding of contract terminology, legal concepts, and risk assessment
  • Experience with contract review and redlining tools (e.g., Microsoft Word track changes, contract lifecycle management systems)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with legal and business teams

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal certification or equivalent legal training

Responsibilities

  • Review and redline contracts including vendor agreements, client contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and amendments
  • Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams (legal, procurement, finance, and operations) to align contract terms with business objectives
  • Work closely with legal counsel to escalate complex legal issues and support negotiations
  • Track contract status, maintain contract databases, and ensure proper documentation and version control
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks; propose alternative language where necessary
  • Support contract negotiations with external parties, balancing legal protection with business needs
  • Monitor contract performance, obligations, renewals, and key deadlines
  • Assist in developing and improving contract templates, processes, and workflows
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on contract policies and procedures
