About The Position

The Contract Specialist supports Laerdal’s commercial operations by managing bids, contracts, pricing, and vendor agreements across government and commercial channels. This role processes bids and quotes, maintains contract documents and price lists, oversees rebate and compliance programs, and ensures accurate and timely contract renewal and reporting. The specialist also identifies new business opportunities, manages vendor registrations and customer portals, and provides essential support to Sales, Business Development, and Customer Service. Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to high‑quality service are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience supporting contract operations, including documentation, amendment management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Four-year University degree. Associate’s degree considered
  • Background working in financial and/or business contracts for products, as well as a basic knowledge of various business functions is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office Suite (Excel, Word, PDF)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Initiative to follow-up on pending issues and organize assigned work.
  • Superlative organizational skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to be intuitive in performing duties.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective oral, written and telephone skills.
  • Working familiarity with Excel, Adobe and Word
  • Strong interpersonal skills; utilizing positive reinforcement and teamwork.
  • Flexibility to change and grow as position evolves a must.
  • Ability to learn and utilize product specific information as it pertains to the position.
  • Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Administer State, GPO, IDN, Freedom Flex, and TSP agreements.
  • Manage contract changes, addendums, renewals, and expiration tracking.
  • Review new contracts and purchasing terms for compliance.
  • Maintain organized agreements and customer-specific contract documentation.
  • Provide reporting, audit support, and insurance compliance information.
  • Process and submit bids, quotes, and vendor applications on time.
  • Register for and manage submissions through customer and government portals.
  • Track bid tabulations and won/loss outcomes and update Salesforce.
  • Generate non‑solicited proposals and customer agreements.
  • Actively source new bid opportunities through online research and bid services.
  • Generate and maintain contracted price lists based on internal pricing updates.
  • Support special pricing requests for Sales and Business Development.
  • Administer rebate and administrative fee programs for contracts.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly sales reporting and GPO code research.
  • Maintain vendor status lists across government and business entities.
  • Submit and update vendor/bid list applications.
  • Keep customer procurement portals accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain membership rosters for contract verification.
  • Provide high-quality service to internal and external customers.
  • Support Sales, Sales Support, Customer Service, and Business Development with quotes and documentation.
  • Answer customer inquiries related to orders, pricing, and contracts.
  • Assist with team projects, mailings, and provide backup support as needed.
