About The Position

As the Contracts Sr. Advisor, you are responsible for the commercial structuring of major agreements, the contract delivery strategy, and the associated negotiations with all involved parties for large capital projects. You ensure that projects are properly contracted in compliance with procurement policies and the ethics charter. In this role, you lead the process of developing contract documentation that incorporates project requirements, identifies project risks, and integrates risk ‑ mitigation strategies. You manage the tendering, negotiation, and formalization of all contracts. You serve as the single point of contact for developing the project contract strategy, planning, and implementation. You collaborate with project stakeholders and multiple functions to ensure the project’s goals are achieved. Reporting to the Contract Management Director, your primary duties encompass: Manage development of project contracts with multiple stakeholders, assessing commercial terms, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation measures Develop contracting strategies that appropriately flow down provisions and limit the company’s exposure to acceptable levels. Negotiate terms and conditions with contractors for medium and large energy ‑ related projects, supporting both existing partnerships and new opportunitie Support and cultivate strategic alliances with EPC and General Contractors to strengthen business development efforts Lead the preparation of bidder lists, solicitation of Letters of Interest, and development of complete RFP packages aligned with project schedules and stakeholder requirements Drive the full bidding process as the primary point of contact, coordinating meetings, site visits, RFP addenda, and managing negotiations with selected bidders to resolve scope and contractual issues Oversee contract administration, including preparation of final contracts, award documents, Notices to Proceed, review of invoices, and evaluation/negotiation of Change Order Requests Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing total installed cost, lowering owner risk, shortening project schedules, minimizing change orders and claims, and preparing all required project close ‑ out documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or Master of Legal Studies or JD with an emphasis in Construction
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in contract management for medium and large industrial projects or a related field
  • Must have an understanding of legal issues in design and construction, project execution and project related tax, finance, and insurance
  • Ability to plan and work independently as well as being a great team player
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently at a fast pace and with accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written communications
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Nice To Haves

  • Background in energy systems, onsite utilities, and construction with public, industrial, or commercial customers will be considered a very strong asset
