Requirements

  • Experience with US Government and/or International customers and contracts
  • Experience with contract negotiations
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and documented application of acquisition regulations (FAR & DFARS)
  • Generally has 8+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.

  • Experience negotiating and managing complex development and production contracts
  • Proven ability to develop trusted partnerships with internal and external customers
  • Cost Type, Fixed Price, and Incentive Fee Contracting Type knowledge
  • Extensive negotiation experience and knowledge of Precision Fires Munitions portfolio
  • Experience in strategy development for new captures
  • Ability to engage in routine and unique problems / issues to help develop solutions for multi-million-dollar complex contracts
  • Ability to coordinate DCAA and DCMA activities including audits, financing payments, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience working autonomously with general direction
  • Experience handling multiple, widely-varied assignments
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience problem solving, including identifying issues and developing solutions
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence, positivity, and enthusiasm leading a team and working collaboratively with key stakeholders during a project

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the contracts team across the full contract lifecycle—from capture, proposal, and award through execution, closeout, and audit.
  • Negotiate and manage US Government, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracts, ensuring strict adherence to laws, regulations, and Delegation of Authority.
  • Partner with program management, finance, legal, engineering, and other functions to provide strategic contract guidance, risk mitigation, and integrated solutions.
  • Oversee contract audits and compliance activities, coordinating with internal and external audit teams to verify adherence and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external customers, delivering innovative contract solutions that support business growth and mission success.
