About The Position

As the Contracts Lifecycle Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the VP of Contracts & Negotiations and General Counsel in managing and maintaining the full lifecycle of the Company’s contracts with its clients across all states. Your primary responsibilities will include contract tracking, management and reporting, conducting initial contract and due diligence reviews, drafting amendments and renewals, analyzing outlier clauses and deviations from the standard templates, conducting post-execution validations, maintaining a contract repository and assigned ad-hoc projects. Your responsibilities more generally will include fact gathering with relevant internal and external stakeholders, reviewing documentation, supporting the needs of both the Company’s sales team and market leaders, and ensuring adherence to processes and controls as established by the legal team. This will be an in-office role located in Plano, Texas, with potential to become a hybrid-role after one (1) year, and may be considered a remote role for the right candidate. Applicants should be located within the greater DFW area or within the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in contracts administration, legal operations, or related function.
  • Exposure to drafting and managing contracts in a corporate or law firm environment is preferred.
  • Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and think critically.
  • Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Pro is a must; experience working with Smartsheet and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Understanding of legal processes, procedures, and terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct an initial due diligence on legal name verification and entity status upon contract generation.
  • Support in the drafting and reviewing of contracts.
  • Maintain an accurate record and up-to-date robust live contract tracker and contract repository, ensuring its accuracy at all times and knowledge of the same.
  • Review and follow up on the status of open contract negotiations with internal team members.
  • Maintain live and up to date data of FAQs, reports, rebuttals, and workflows used and implemented during the negotiation process.
  • Manage and maintain contract templates.
  • Monitor group contract emails for receipt of fully executed contracts in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct post-execution verification of required signatures, dates, and any unapproved deviation(s).
  • Perform internal operational analysis of contracts to support negotiation strategies and evaluate market trends.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and auditing reports and dashboards that provide visibility into contract lifecycle metrics, performance, analytics, risks, and data field specific activity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the contract management process, tools, and workflows through assigned projects.
  • Perform legal and administrative functions, in addition to other duties as assigned.
