About The Position

K2 Medical Research is seeking a detail-oriented and business-minded Contracts Attorney to support the organization in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating clinical research and corporate agreements. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career attorney interested in healthcare, life sciences and a fast-paced clinical trials environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations, business development, finance, compliance, and executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law
  • 1–3 years of relevant legal experience
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, or commercial contracting
  • Experience working in-house, at a CRO, healthcare company, or supporting life sciences clients
  • Familiarity with clinical trial agreements, HIPAA, and FDA regulatory frameworks
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent contracts in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs)
  • Draft, review, and negotiate Confidentiality Agreements (NDAs)
  • Draft, review, and negotiate Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
  • Draft, review, and negotiate Vendor and service agreements
  • Draft, review, and negotiate Investigator agreements and site agreements
  • Support contract negotiations with pharmaceutical sponsors, CROs, research sites, and vendors
  • Assist in developing and maintaining contract templates and playbooks
  • Ensure agreements align with regulatory requirements (FDA, ICH-GCP, HIPAA, and applicable state laws)
  • Identify and escalate risk issues appropriately
  • Track contract status and manage documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual and regulatory risk
  • Provide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Support contract lifecycle management and process improvements
  • Maintain and update contract templates and playbooks
  • Partner with Clinical Operations, Finance, and executive leadership
  • Support rapid growth initiatives, including new site expansion and partnerships
  • Help build scalable legal infrastructure to support company growth
  • Assist with internal compliance initiatives and policy development.
  • Provide legal research and support on healthcare regulatory and operational matters as needed
