About The Position

If you are a Contracts Administrator professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson has an exciting opportunity to join our Power & Water Solutions team in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will support complex projects across the power generation and water treatment sectors by serving as a trusted partner for all commercial and contractual matters. You will work closely with project teams and customers to ensure contractual compliance, manage risk, and contribute to successful project execution while supporting Emerson’s commitment to innovation, integrity, and collaboration. Power & Water Solutions is an industry leading controls automation company that provides applications in the renewable (solar, hydro, wind), fossil (natural gas and coal) power generation, and water treatment plant sectors.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting business, finance, accounting, project management, engineering, or contract administration activities
  • Working knowledge of contract principles and the ability to interpret commercial terms
  • Understanding of project and financial management concepts
  • Ability to negotiate with customers while maintaining strong, respectful relationships
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • BS degree in engineering, finance, accounting, legal, or business disciplines
  • Previous contract law experience
  • Familiarity with Ovation or other Emerson legacy systems or project environments

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial and contractual matters on assigned projects, building strong and effective customer relationships
  • Maintain a working understanding of the period‑to‑period asset management process applicable to the business
  • Ensure customer purchase order requirements are met to minimize financial risk, avoid penalties, and support customer satisfaction
  • Identify and support opportunities to improve project margin through scope change activity across the project lifecycle
  • Partner with project managers to support accurate financial forecasting and sales projections
  • Support efforts to reduce receivables through proactive identification of issues and resolution planning
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure Emerson’s contractual commitments are met in alignment with internal processes
  • Monitor commercial and contractual activities and communicate potential impacts to project schedules or billings
  • Provide clear commercial interpretation of contractual terms and conditions when requested
