The Contracting and Network Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support to the Contracting and Network Department at Umpqua Health. This role is responsible for managing provider contract documentation, coordinating network updates, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to maintain accurate provider and contract records.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience, preferably within healthcare or contracting environments.
  • Experience with document management systems and data entry processes.
  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance, with ability to travel locally as required.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare contracting and provider network operations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to managed care and provider networks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual or translation skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, distribute, and track provider contracts and amendments.
  • Maintain accurate contract files and ensure timely execution of agreements.
  • Assist with contract testing and approval processes.
  • Update provider information in internal systems and ensure data accuracy.
  • Support network adequacy reporting and compliance with Oregon Health Authority (OHA) requirement.
  • Coordinate provider onboarding and credentialing documentation as needed.
  • Ensure all contract and network activities adhere to regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Assist with audits and reporting related to provider contracts and network operations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal teams regarding contract and network inquiries.
  • Communicate with providers to obtain required documentation and resolve administrative issues.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline contract and network workflows.
  • Support implementation of best practices for document management and reporting.
