C.H. Thompson is currently seeking a Contract Review Specialist to join our growing team! As a Contract Review Specialist, you will be integral in reviewing customer purchase orders and specifications to ensure alignment with our internal processes. The ideal candidate will posses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints to ensure compliance with industry standards, particularly for ITAR and AS9100 government contracts. Position Overview Order & Specification Review: Analyze customer purchase orders and specifications to verify compliance with internal processes and quality standards. Ensure that job card routers are accurately built to match customer specifications, including requirements for anodizing, masking, wet painting, and other processes. Identify discrepancies or missing steps in the process and communicate with relevant teams to address issues before production. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct reviews of blueprints and technical documents to ensure specifications are met throughout the production process. Shipping & Logistics: Coordinate shipping activities, including managing UPS shipments and scheduling carrier pickups. Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) and ensure trucking paperwork is organized and accurate. Label skids for outgoing trucks and verify that drivers have the correct paperwork that matches the parts being shipped. Assist with receiving orders for the production team, primarily counting parts to ensure they match purchase orders without entering orders directly. Billing & Documentation: Ensure shipping tickets are accurately matched with job cards and organized for billing purposes. Manage count changes and load splits, particularly for our Anodize department, and potentially other departments. Coordinate with finance to provide necessary information for invoicing and communicate payment expectations to customers. Production Support: During slower periods, assist on the production floor with quality inspections to help maintain workflow and ensure product quality. Collaborate with production teams to identify quality issues and suggest corrective actions as needed. Qualifications: Analytical Skills: Ability to observe, research, and interpret information to develop complex ideas and solutions. Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and accuracy. Technical Skills: Basic math and computer skills. Ability to blueprints a plus but not required! Quality Standards: Ensure all contracts meet stringent quality standards. Total Compensation Package: Wage This role is based in the State of New York which requires the disclosure of salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is $20.00-25.00 per hour.
