Over the next three years, we are transitioning to a new, more efficient claims system that will strengthen accuracy, improve member and client experience, and support long‑term operational growth. This project brings together teams across HMA to rethink processes, adopt new technologies, and build a stronger foundation for the future. Each role supporting Project Phoenix plays a meaningful part in shaping how we serve our members for years to come.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in process analysis, process improvement, or business operations
  • Strong understanding of process mapping methodologies
  • Proven experience supporting or leading process improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Proficiency with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Bizagi, ARIS)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and build insights
  • Experience with workflow automation tools or platforms (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, ServiceNow, Appian)
  • Familiarity with SQL, Excel (advanced), or other data analysis tools
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Stakeholder management and the ability to influence without authority
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality

Responsibilities

  • Lead workshops with SMEs and technology experts to design future-state workflows.
  • Document system-agnostic workflows clearly and concisely to meet validation and stakeholder approval requirements in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Analyze current-state business and technical processes to identify gaps, redundancies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure workflows align with compliance, efficiency, and scalability standards.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Business Analyst to transition workflows into detailed requirements.
  • Translate workflows into a documented future-state business process, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational standards.
