About The Position

Are you fluent in the language of contract furniture and thrive on getting the details right? HAT Collective is seeking a Contract Furniture Solutions Specialist to drive quoting, contract compliance, and solution alignment for projects across commercial, education, healthcare, and public sector environments. This is a pivotal role where precision meets creativity to help customers achieve functional, compliant, and cost-effective furniture solutions. What You’ll Do You’ll act as the cross-functional expert ensuring projects are quoted accurately, contract requirements are met, and customer needs are exceeded. You’ll partner closely with dealers, designers, sales teams, and internal departments to bring smart solutions to life.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
  • 2–4 years of contract furniture industry experience (non-negotiable requirement)
  • Direct experience with GSA and SLED contract submissions
  • Knowledge of modular furniture, casegoods, seating, and ergonomic solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/CRM tools (Syteline, Pipeline)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with sharp attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CET Designer, 2020 CAP, or other specification tools
  • Ability to interpret floor plans, finish schedules, and technical product docs
  • Understanding of dealer/distributor workflows in contract furniture

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate and timely project quotes based on customer specifications, space plans, and product requirements.
  • Ensure all pricing aligns with applicable contracts (GSA, co-ops, state/local agreements, and dealer-specific contracts).
  • Convert quote to an initial CRM record for project visibility across multiple departments.
  • Interpret contract pricing structures and apply correct discounting, freight, and payment terms.
  • Maintain quarterly compliance documentation and ensure audit-readiness for contract-related quotes and orders.
  • Analyze design specifications and project requirements to recommend appropriate product solutions from our standard or custom furniture lines.
  • Collaborate with sales reps, dealers, and designers to ensure selected products meet functional, aesthetic, and budgetary goals.
  • Provide value engineering options and alternative recommendations for discontinued, long-lead, or custom items.
  • Assist in validating feasibility for non-standard configurations and custom finish options.
  • Work closely with internal teams (product management, supply chain, engineering, finance, customer service) to ensure accuracy and feasibility of quotes and product configurations.
  • Act as a resource for technical product inquiries and contract pricing questions from internal teams and dealer partners.
  • Contribute to process improvements in quoting, contract compliance, and customer support systems.
