About The Position

SUMMARY The Contract Recruiter position partners with leaders on recruitment needs across various levels in the organization. Recruiters leverage recruiting expertise and market knowledge to develop and execute passive and active sourcing strategies. As a highly visible and engaged member of our team, the Recruiter leverages innovative and contemporary methods of identifying and hiring talented people. It is expected that a strategic partnership is established with business leaders, hiring managers, and HR business partners across multiple lines of business at PetSmart's corporate offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college/university in a relevant field preferred.
  • 3 + years of demonstrated recruitment success in diverse consultative full-cycle recruiting experience with search firms or corporate environments.
  • Proven proficiency with a diverse sourcing toolkit that includes job boards, search engines, niche sites, LinkedIn and other social media, passive lead generation, etc.
  • Previous experience acting as a subject matter expert and resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Experience with HR applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and owns the recruiting process from candidate sourcing through identification, interviewing, selection, and offer process for various levels in the organization.
  • Leads the development and execution of an effective sourcing strategy.
  • Hands-on application of web-based applicant tracking and candidate sourcing tools.
  • Maintains current applicant tracking documentation through each phase of the recruitment process.
  • Assesses candidates and generates a pipeline for a variety of concurrent searches using a diverse set of sourcing tools and techniques that attract top talent.
  • Solves complex issues independently.
  • Supports all Belonging strategies related to talent acquisition.
  • Establishes close and trusting client relationships by: educating the client and providing advice on market trends, acting as a consultant throughout the hiring process and providing meaningful feedback to assist in the final selection process. Interacts and consults independently with senior management.
  • Maintains a commitment to clear and proactive communication, internal client service, and self-development/learning.
  • Provides oversight and guidance as needed with assigned recruitment activities.
