About The Position

The Contract and Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and analytical support related to contract management, compliance tracking, insurance compliance, and legal operations. This role ensures proper documentation, assists in the coordination of internal and external contract and insurance resources, and supports various departments with contract and insurance documentation processes. This role works closely with the legal department, ensuring compliance with contract, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High level analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with technology and data entry.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, legal studies, risk management, or finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in risk management, compliance, legal, or contract administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience managing large-scale contract reviews or coordination preferred.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and perform some travel.
  • Light to moderate lifting up to 15 pounds, pushing and pulling abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal experience preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred, Spanish and English

Responsibilities

  • Performs large scale contract document review.
  • Maintains oversight and responsibility for company contract compliance and management, including subcontractor and builder contracts.
  • Coordinates with branch representatives, subcontractors, and insurance agents to ensure compliance with subcontractor requirements, including worker’s compensation and general liability policies.
  • Develop relationships with preferred brokers and agents to ensure smoother contract onboarding.
  • Maintains database of company subcontractors and insurance obligations.
  • Creates weekly reporting for compliant subcontractors.
  • Performs routine audits to ensure compliance with worker’s compensation requirements.
  • Maintains repository of Company Certificates of Insurance (“COIs”) and coordinates with builders and other clients to update and distribute.
  • Coordinates database of builder contracts.
  • Maintains responsibility for ensuring distribution and review of builder contracts by all necessary parties.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Works closely with legal department to ensure legal terms are met and deviations are escalated.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
