Since 1984, Larkin Street Youth Services has helped more than 75,000 young adults in San Francisco with outreach, shelter, housing, education, employment, healthcare, and other services. Today, Larkin Street Youth Services is the largest provider of housing and services to homeless youth in the Bay Area. We serve 1,500 youth annually, operating or partnering to provide more than 500 emergency shelter, transitional, supportive, and subsidy-based housing beds at several unique sites across San Francisco. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Under the guidance of the the Senior Director of Public Funding, the Contracts Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the contractual agreements for our programs are met and align with internal agency policies and procedures. This role provides strategic oversight for programs across the agency, serving as a key member of the public funding team. The Contracts Analyst collaborates closely with colleagues in programs, data, and finance to ensure that we consistently meet or exceed expectations. This is a full-time position, eligible for full benefits.

Requirements

  • You are passionate about the Larkin Street Youth Services mission to end youth homelessness.
  • You have experience managing public contracts in a non-profit. You understand the importance of meeting contract obligations, and you have built project plans to ensure that program outcomes are aligned with public contract obligations.
  • You are a skilled project manager. You have experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • You are an analytical and collaborative problem solver. Your colleagues describe you as detail oriented, organized, and an excellent communicator.
  • You work best in a hybrid working environment. This role will work 3 days per week in the San Francisco Office.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor housing and service contract objectives, keeping program leadership informed of performance challenges and collaborating with staff to drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Assist the Senior Director of Public Funding and Director of Grants and Compliance in budget monitoring, working with program and finance teams to troubleshoot, adjust, or modify contract budgets as needed.
  • Lead quarterly contract monitoring meetings with colleagues from the programs, finance, and data teams to ensure that contract goals are met on time and within budget. Manage and facilitate brainstorming sessions and implement continuous quality improvement as necessary.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Public Funding to assess contract terms and conditions, addressing any compliance or reporting issues as they arise.
  • Participate in regular meetings with program staff to gain insights into agency needs and emerging trends.
  • Support and contribute to the development of a public funding strategy that aligns with the agency’s strategic initiatives, responds to youth homelessness trends, and meets evolving community needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency staff and community partners to ensure effective collaboration and program success, while exercising discretion and independent judgment.
  • Other duties as required.
