About The Position

Your Job: Contract Analyst will work in conjunction with Supply Chain Directors, Contract Coordinator and Buyers to negotiate vendor contracts for clinical products and/or some purchased services for all departments across Methodist Health System. In addition to contract negotiations, the Contract Analyst will analyze and apply drill-down methods to verify and validate contract optimization and opportunities. The primary focus of this role will be to promote utilization of contracts and to capture and report associated financial impact Your Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.) in appropriate discipline is preferred. Your Job Responsibilities: • Learn and gain proficiency in Methodist purchasing management tools such as McKesson and Premier tools such as MySpend, Premier Contract Management • Search continuously to streamline procurement practices within the department and in conjunction with customer departments. • Effective serve on inter-hospital committees for product standardization and cost containment. • Works to utilize diversity vendor sources whenever possible within MHS guidelines. • Effectively manages complex supply/service project in a timely manner. • Financially analyzes alternative product lines and makes conversion recommendations to management. • Negotiate vendor contracts for clinical products and/or some purchased services for all departments across MHS. • Gather financial and product performance references on potential new products. • Identify cost/benefit, including comparison of old pricing to new pricing, and cross-reference of products when necessary • Works with Legal department on non-Premier contracts to ensure terms and conditions meet Methodist Health System legal requirements prior to signature. • Responsible for identifying and communicating with clinical stakeholders to review new products and financial impacts for their given department through completion of the project. This requires the ability to identify stakeholders and schedule meetings using Outlook calendar. • Responsible for organizing strategic vendor business reviews for Supply Chain and department leaders who utilize the identified strategic vendor. • Responsible for keeping assigned contracts up-to-date using the Premier and Meditract contract logs. • Followed by updating the item master with new pricing. Provide contract analysis and apply drill-down methods to verify and validate contract optimization and opportunities. • Work with internal customer departments and external suppliers to enforce Supply Chain Management policies. • Preform other job as assigned.
