About The Position

The Contract Account Manager will work closely and report to the Associate Director, Contract Account & ROC Management. This role will work with internal departments within Goldwind to coordinate and provide each customer with information on Services & Maintenance Agreements (SMA) and Turbine Supply Agreements (TSA)-related activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical or commercial role in the renewable energy industry, including wind turbine, solar, and battery energy storage.
  • Key account management experience in the wind energy field is strongly preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of current wind energy trends in the United States and/or Latin American countries.
  • Able to demonstrate a professional network with access to decision makers at active wind turbine purchasers.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • A quick learner capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of working time.
  • Must pay attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and explain contract language.
  • Results-oriented with a good understanding of process improvement and best practices.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven records of excellent customer service.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Mandarin is a plus.
  • The job will report to the offices in Illinois and candidates who reside in the state of Illinois are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • In coordination with service site management, manage customer interactions related to SMA and TSA related activities and ensure accurate and consistent agreement implementation
  • Set and manage customer expectations, particularly with respect to service operations and maintenance.
  • Communicate with customers to identify needs and evaluate potential solutions.
  • Working with service operation teams, manage SMA and TSA requirements to ensure both the company and the customer are meeting their contractual obligations.
  • Ensure all reports are sent to customers in a timely manner, including monthly availability reports, service-related reports, and all other relevant reports.
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Efficiently build and maintain a knowledge base of each customer's business, organization, and objectives.
  • Facilitate monthly, quarterly, and/or annual meetings, as necessary, with the company and customers.
  • Track SMA and TSA payments, including quarterly invoices, Availability Liquidated Damages (LDs), and Bonuses, and other applicable payments.
  • Track the status of all operating projects and compile a monthly report highlighting all open issues.
  • Work with Service Operations, Commercial Contract Management, Legal, and Sales teams on all contract extensions, change orders, amendments, warranty claims, and needed changes.
  • Track customer interactions, follow-ups, issues, and project milestones and deliverables.
  • Communicate SMA and TSA requirements to all stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Record and maintain meeting minutes, as necessary for customer meetings.
  • Promote and enforce safety culture across the range of Goldwind’s employees, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain highest quality, health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Follow Goldwind’s (or applicable) QHSE policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ensure that projects are designed and built to the highest quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Promote and contribute to continuous improvement of Goldwind Americas ISO’s program.
  • Lead, promote and encourage all directly associated staff to comply with established QHSE management system requirements within 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
  • Other duties as assigned or as business needs emerge
