Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices. The role involves implementing training programs at the facility level, participating in the Functional/Divisional training network, and managing the execution and quality of delivery across change programs. This includes incorporating change impact assessment results into program delivery plans, ensuring stakeholder alignment, communicating change initiatives, and leading program interventions. The manager oversees, coordinates, and provides leadership to project teams supporting change initiatives, establishing and measuring change key performance indicators, ensuring consistency in messaging, and managing site communications. They act as an active member of the facility leadership team, sharing knowledge, expertise, and coaching to develop others, and leveraging operations programs to drive change. The position coordinates with facility and home office level associates and leadership to implement corporate initiatives, utilizes and maintains training materials, and supports Quality, Safety, and Human Resources teams. It also guides and executes the Leadership Development process, manages hourly associate training programs, assesses and calibrates training programs, and ensures required training is tracked. The manager supports associate engagement by providing learning opportunities, building relationships, providing cross-training, monitoring work plans, and resolving issues. They are expected to build high-performing teams, embrace differences, create a culture of belonging, and empower talent. They must act with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, modeling Walmart values, and supporting the goal of becoming a regenerative company. They serve customers and members by delivering results, adapting to shopping behaviors, and making data-driven decisions.
