This Position reports to: Quality Control Specialist Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will s upports the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Mentors and coaches teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. Deploys and leads projects to improve and sustain local business performance. The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Division in Senatobia, MS area. You will be mainly accountable to: Supports the deployment of strategy and objectives for continuous improvement at a local organizational level. Escalates to relevant stakeholders, as necessary, to remove roadblocks that prevent the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives at local level and helps facilitate cases of conflicting priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Facilitates significant improvements with respect to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and/or cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments in collaboration with local leadership. Provides training support by developing and maintaining training modules and toolkits aligned with business needs in collaboration with management at local level. Tracks programs, initiatives, projects, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate progress and value, enabling decision-makers to allocate resources and recognize success. Drives/supports systematic benchmarking of external processes and techniques, incorporating relevant learnings into local ABB practices. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Similar.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in production planning, material planning or similar role (ETO manufacturing experience is a plus)
  • Material Logistics: Knowledge in managing internal and external logistics, including Kanban systems, material picking, and coordination with suppliers.
  • Production Logistics : Experience in line balancing, waste elimination, standard work, and creating work instructions.
  • Quality Process Reengineering : Implementation of Quality Gates, improving First Pass Yield, reducing PPMs, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Leadership and Change Management, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Specialist Technical & Engineering Skills, Continuous Improvement Methodologies, Project Management are must have skills.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
