Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Demonstrated track record of implementing lean manufacturing tools and techniques that deliver significant business results.
Strong, direct project management experience in a manufacturing operations setting.
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven focus.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills; able to interact with all levels of the organization.
Strong leadership skills; able to drive projects involving multiple departments and personalities.

Nice To Haves

Background in manufacturing and assembly operations highly preferred.
Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies is preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office and 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage facility-wide Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) Programs to optimize business to best serve our customers, including but not limited to:
Prepare for and facilitate events and projects.
Train operators and engage them in Lean concepts.
Promote and spread a Lean culture across all levels of the organization daily.
Develop and maintain best practices with a strong focus on standard work, visual management, and TIER board reporting.
Identify, rationalize, plan, and document cost reduction projects (including inventory, direct/indirect labor, cost per tool, etc.).
Lead, track, and update productivity projects using the standard reporting system (Protrak).
Collect, analyze, summarize, and present process data (OEE) to the management team.
Optimize facility layout using Lean cell design and line balancing techniques.
Verify and review Routings and BOMs in an ERP system.
Plan, justify, and implement capital budget projects that contribute to plant goals and objectives.
Troubleshoot shop floor issues using Lean problem-solving techniques and implement sustainable corrective actions
