BLOOM INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW Bloom is MANE’s internship initiative that provides college students with valuable, hands-on industry experience while supporting our business needs. It’s designed to help interns develop their skills, knowledge, and network as they “bloom” into the professionals they aspire to be. GROWTH-FOCUSED Our internship program is committed to your personal and professional growth. Through engaging, real-world projects and collaboration with peers and mentors, you’ll gain essential skills and insights in the flavor/fragrance industry. The Continuous Improvement Intern will work closely with members of the Flavor Encapsulation Operational Excellence team to build upon problem solving skills and gain practical experience in a manufacturing environment. You will interact daily with the operations team to learn what it takes to maintain a successful process flow. Continuous improvement project(s) will be expected to address either Safety, Quality, Productivity, or be a cost savings initiative. Support tasks to other key projects will vary.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Individuals should have completed a minimum of their first semester of college.
Responsibilities
- SMED: Reduce by 50% the time it takes to complete a production changeover
- Develop Audit system to identify continuous improvement projects to address Food Safety concerns
- Assist the Operations Training team to reduce training timeline by 30%
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instruction
- Identify and implement recycling efforts within the department
