Amy’s is committed to cooking authentic great tasting food with high quality, meticulously sourced organic ingredients and making them convenient for consumers.      Pay: $18/hr. Location: 441 W Antelope Rd, White City, OR 97503 We are   seeking   a detail-oriented and proactive intern to join the Continuous Improvement Team this summer. The ideal candidate will gain hands-on experience while supporting the Autonomous Maintenance initiative by partnering with maintenance, operations, and training teams to develop clear, user-friendly work instructions that assist operators with equipment setup. The role will also focus on evaluating and improving the current process for managing mobile scales to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and standardization. Through process observation and documentation, the intern will help strengthen operator training and equipment readiness across the operation.

Requirements

  • Clear written communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams/SharePoint). 
  • Interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional plant teams.
  • Ability to observe processes and translate them into step-by-step instructions.
  • Continuous improvement or problem-solving mindset.
  • Attending a four-year college or university to   attain a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field;   or already awarded   bachelor’s   degree from a four-year college or university.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred: English and Spanish
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to plant management and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data,   establish   facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Responsibilities

  • Observe equipment setup and maintenance activities on the plant floor.
  • Develop and update step-by-step work instructions for operators.
  • Recommend standardization or efficiency improvements for mobile scale use and tracking.
  • Organize and maintain work instruction files and documentation.
