Position Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer Location: Shelbyville POC, TN Reports To: Engineering Manager The evolution of the Newell Brands Supply Chain includes a focus on driving productivity through building capability in people, processes, and technology. PEAK, Newell's branded improvement strategy, is fundamental to that goal. A Center of Excellence with a deep competency in implementation PEAK PACS in a Factory/Warehouse setting is a crucial element in our future success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience leading a project and managing a timeline
  • Experienced working in a factory or warehouse with automation and systems
  • Experience with a Continuous Improvement methodology (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Proven team member in collaboration of projects within facility

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and alignment in support of the global Continuous Improvement Agenda working with Plant leaders and system leaders to assure ownership and timelines are met
  • Integrate with the current site and central Continuous Improvement teams in performing training to support the business
  • Build the capability of the key internal resources needed to deliver on critical initiatives
  • Foster key relationships within the team
  • Provide analytics and business intelligence to support project selection, root-cause analysis, project validation, etc.
  • Drive integrated project plan to implement and deliver business results
  • Ensure that Continuous Improvement work is impacting both results, and the culture change including:
  • Capability building for setting, tracking and problem-solving measures
  • Total employee involvement
  • Linkages of individual and team activities to losses and the business need
  • Successful implementation of large capital projects on time and on budget
