About The Position

Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer: Drive Operational Excellence! Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred (or 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Warehousing, or Transportation).
• 1+ years of industrial engineering experience in a distribution environment is highly valued.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• Proficiency in SQL, data pulling, and data analytics.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• The ability to work various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends) as needed.
• The ability to travel up to 10% to other facilities or client locations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma is preferred, along with Change Management techniques.
• Hands-on, practical problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with Tier 1 WMSs (Blue Yonder, Korber, HighJump) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement & Sustain : Support the flawless implementation and ongoing execution of the CJL Operating System in both new and existing Logistics Center operations.
• Analyze & Optimize : Engage with customers and internal leadership to solve problems creatively, utilizing a data-driven approach . You'll analyze current performance, identify strategic opportunities, and establish clear action plans.
• Process Design : Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop documented design solutions with the goal of reducing complexity and creating universal standards using Lean techniques.
• Data Intelligence : Provide support for CI projects, utilizing data analytics to drive operational excellence. This includes analysis on items, zoning, picklines, and capacity, and maintaining the inventory locator system.
• Drive Change : Lead Continuous Improvement efforts, motivate teams, and secure buy-in from all levels to ensure effective and lasting change.
• Communicate & Coach : Effectively convey insights, project status, risks, and opportunities to cross-functional teams and management. You will also mentor and coach team members.
