Our organization is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator. A successful candidate will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge & understanding of the business
  • Grounded deep in lean principles
  • Ability to lead cross functional groups
  • Must possess strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate efficient and effective project kickoffs and planning methods
  • Facilitate key workshops and other critical management meetings
  • Demonstrate problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Business Degree preferred; company will consider a combination of education and experience
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proven project management skills
  • Demonstrated skill in successfully managing more than one engagement simultaneously
  • Must meet and maintain all requirements to be a 'Driver' as defined in Adrian Steel Fleet Corporate Driving Policy
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate CI initiatives that span multi departmental and cross-functional areas
  • Review project deliverables and resources to support Safety, Quality, Productivity requests, project timelines, and that the scope of projects are in line with the Strategic Plan
  • Monitor and document CI project milestones and outcomes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to established standards
  • Mentor and coach colleagues that support continuous improvement
  • Provide and support training of lean principles throughout the organization
  • Support auditing and assessing each department for operational excellence expectations
  • Ensure all safety, health, company policies, and procedures are met daily to provide an enviable and accident-free working environment in your area of responsibility.
