About The Position

Join MasterControl's Context Engineering team and build real product features using AI development tools (Cursor, Claude Code) from day one. The unique opportunity: Most internships have you working in isolation. Here, what you learn directly translates into improving the developer experience across the organization. You'll use GenAI tools to build features faster, then help optimize those same tools and practices for 150+ engineers. Your insights as a new user of these tools will be invaluable in refining how we work. You'll contribute to two main projects: Primary: Help rebuild MasterControl's Supplier module, a system managing supplier relationships, qualifications, and compliance. Build React/TypeScript frontend components and Spring Boot backend APIs using GenAI tools throughout development. Secondary: Build systems to track and improve how engineers use AI tools across the company, including data collection servers, analytics dashboards, and cloud infrastructure on Kubernetes.

• This position is specifically designed for Northeastern University students as part of the university's cooperative education (Co-op) program. Candidates must be enrolled at Northeastern University and eligible to participate in the official Co-op program for the designated term.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack features: React/TypeScript frontend components and Spring Boot REST APIs
• Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) using Vitest and Playwright
• Create data pipelines and work with PostgreSQL databases handling millions of records
• Deploy services to Kubernetes and set up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• Use AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code) for rapid development, test generation, and code reviews
