About The Position
The Content Teacher is responsible for delivering standards-aligned instruction in a virtual learning environment. This role focuses on teaching core academic content, engaging students in meaningful learning experiences, and supporting academic growth across a range of grade levels. Content Teachers design and deliver instruction, assess student progress, and collaborate with families and staff to ensure students are supported and successful in a remote or hybrid setting.
Requirements
- Valid Oregon Teaching License with appropriate endorsement
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Highly qualified in the content area taught
- Experience working with students in an educational setting
- Knowledge of instructional strategies and developmentally appropriate practices
- Reliable transportation for required in-person meetings and visits
- Ability to work both remotely and independently

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in your content area
- Teach the skills, knowledge, and processes aligned to course standards
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and assessment
- Communicate regularly with students and families through virtual platforms
- Support students in building independence, engagement, and academic confidence
- Maintain accurate records, including grades, progress reports, and required documentation
- Identify student needs and collaborate with staff to provide appropriate supports
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development
- Ensure student safety, well-being, and compliance with school policies
