About The Position

Lullabot is seeking a full-time Senior Content Strategist (remote) within the United States who will thrive as part of a small team within an ambitious agency. As a Senior Content Strategist at Lullabot, you will be a key leader in project teams, working directly with clients and closely with designers and engineers to define and execute comprehensive content strategies. This role is responsible for planning and leading discovery, content modeling, and auditing activities for large-scale CMS and redesign projects, ensuring the creation of well-organized, planned, and sustainable content that meets both audience needs and organizational objectives. You will also contribute to Lullabot's business development and the growth of the strategy practice. Successful candidates will have experience with large web projects. They should be highly organized and able to manage themselves in a 100% remote-work environment and possess excellent communication habits in order to work well with other team members and clients. Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in content strategy and user-centered design principles.
  • Strong ability to plan, lead, and oversee complex content strategy projects.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a talent for translating research insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with executive stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams (project managers, design, engineering).
  • Experience with large-scale Content Management Systems (CMS) projects.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools for visualization, ticketing, and content management.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple client projects simultaneously in a distributed agency environment.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in content strategy and/or a related degree: Required
  • Years of professional experience in a relevant role: 6 (or more)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful content strategy projects: Required
  • Demonstrable experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS): Required
  • Experience managing multiple client projects simultaneously: Required
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with executive stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams: Required

Responsibilities

  • Be an engaged, effective team member:

  • Contribute to improving the strategy practice within Lullabot.
  • Collaborate openly, sharing work and incorporating feedback from all team members.
  • Keep track of your own time for estimation and invoicing purposes.
  • Deliver user-centered strategies that meet client needs:
  • Plan and lead activities to discover and prioritize stakeholder desires, audience needs, and project goals through interviews, surveys, workshops, and research (done in close collaboration with designers).
  • Inventory and audit content to identify opportunities for improvement and plan migrations.
  • Define and improve information architecture and content organization.
  • Create and present content strategy recommendations to client stakeholders.
  • Provide content priority and messaging guidance for the design process.
  • Create voice and tone and web writing guidelines for content authors.
  • Create content models that enable user-centered designs, defining entities, relationships, attributes, and taxonomy.
  • Support the delivery of easy-to-use, sustainable authoring experiences.
  • Provide design review and feedback to ensure content clarity and hierarchy.
  • Plan and conduct usability tests to ensure successful information architecture and content outcomes (typically done in close collaboration with designers).
  • Evaluate and recommend content workflow, management, and governance models for client teams.
  • Oversee content design, guiding client authors and content entry assistants to craft compelling web copy.
  • Collaborate with other content strategists (Lullabot or external contractors) working with you on a client project.
  • Support Lullabot's business and teams:
  • Support hiring processes by assisting with candidate interviews for content strategy roles.
  • Assist with the creation of case studies that highlight the work you've done within client projects.
  • Collaborate directly with client services leadership to lead our client services team and make decisions on tools, processes, and service delivery.
