About The Position

Leidos is seeking a university student to join the Leidos global Chief Information Office (CIO) Services organization. This organization reports into the Digital Modernization Sector and collaborates across organizational lines to deliver effective enabling digital capabilities to our global employee base. We are seeking a highly motivated Content Strategist Intern to join the growing Customer Experience (CX) team in CIO Services. This role will support communications for CIO Services initiatives, with a focus on IT communications that keep employees informed, trained, and engaged as new tools and capabilities are introduced. Role Summary The Content Strategist Intern will support the development of communications and content for CIO Services initiatives, including IT communications for employees such as intranet updates, blog posts, emails, and basic training materials. Reporting to the Content Strategy Team Lead, this role partners across CIO Services to deliver user-centered content in support of digital transformation and change management.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in the United States.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to simplify complex or technical concepts for broad audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make decisions independently.
  • Experience with change management communications and employee engagement.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG).

Nice To Haves

  • Background in content strategy, UX writing, or technical communications.
  • Experience with AI-related technologies or emerging digital tools.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (e.g., SharePoint or intranet systems).
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of communications and content for CIO Services initiatives supporting IT communications for employees, including intranet updates, blog posts, emails, and basic training materials.
  • Assist in creating clear, user-friendly content that simplifies technical concepts.
  • Help develop and update content such as slide decks, knowledge articles, FAQs, and quick reference guides.
  • Collaborate with team members to support content for onboarding and training.
  • Update and maintain content on intranet sites and learning hubs.
  • Review content for clarity, consistency, grammar, and tone.
  • Assist in gathering feedback and making content improvements.
