Content Specialist (Copy)

Morgan Street HoldingsChicago, IL
$70,000 - $80,000Hybrid

About The Position

As a Copy Content Specialist, you will be the engine behind Conair’s Product Detail Page (PDP) program. Working closely with the Associate Creative Director (Copy), you will create and optimize high-converting content for both new product launches and existing SKUs. This is a role for a writer who loves the intersection of storytelling and data—someone who can craft a compelling brand narrative while ensuring every word is SEO-optimized and technically sound. You will help execute a "conversion-minded" vision across a high-volume pipeline, primarily focused on Amazon and other major retail platforms.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in copywriting (agency or in-house) with a strong portfolio showing an ability to simplify complex product features into sharp, benefit-led headlines.
  • Deep familiarity with eCommerce and PDP structures (Amazon preferred), including an understanding of retailer constraints and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products and experience managing content within Digital Asset Management (DAM) programs or cloud-based tools like Airtable.
  • A "builder" mindset: Comfortable working within repeatable copy systems (templates, claim patterns) and proactively flagging accuracy or disclosure risks.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of PXM/PIM environments (e.g., Salsify) is a major plus, specifically writing in structured fields and managing versioning.

Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize copy for a wide range of Conair SKUs, ensuring all content—from titles and bullets to below-the-fold A+ storytelling—is clear and scannable.
  • Maintain a consistent voice across the Conair brand portfolio, adhering to specific tone guidance and messaging guardrails so every product feels differentiated yet cohesive.
  • Apply an "eagle-eye" to all work, maintaining high standards for grammar, punctuation, and brand-specific writing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Experience and Strategy team (DEX) to translate SEO/GEO keyword strategies into natural, benefit-led copy.
  • Use data and feedback (including tools like Vizit) to continually iterate on headlines and benefit ordering to improve performance and clarity.
  • Manage content copy matrixes, developing clear structures and flows that allow copy to move efficiently through the production pipeline.
  • Ensure copy readiness for publishing by checking accuracy against product specs and claim substantiation, ensuring content is ready for PIM/DAM (e.g., Salsify) workflows.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design and Studio teams to ensure that visual and verbal elements land together perfectly.

Benefits

  • Generous medical, dental, vision and other great benefits
  • Paid parental and medical leave programs
  • 401(k) with a company match component and profit sharing
  • 15 days of paid time off plus company holidays
  • Hybrid work model
  • Tuition reimbursement and student loan repayment assistance
  • Inclusive employee resource groups
