About The Position

The City of West Allis is seeking a Content and Multimedia Creator to serve as our lead storyteller and creative voice. In this role, you'll act as the City's in-house graphic designer + reporter, discovering stories, creating engaging content, and bringing our community's experiences to life. The Content and Multimedia Creator will develop written, visual, and multimedia content including graphics, photography, videography, and digital/print materials to support campaigns, social media, the City website, and broader engagement efforts. Adobe suite proficiency required. Motion design/animation & illustration experience preferred. West Allis residents receive an additional 5% on top of the hourly pay range.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a professional marketing environment, either on an in-house team or at an agency (agency experience preferred).
• Portfolio of samples of client-based multimedia and content deliverables required with completed application.
• Adobe suite proficiency required.

Nice To Haves

• Motion design/animation & illustration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce engaging and relevant content, including website content, interviews, graphics, print materials, photos and videos, to showcase our municipal services, values, and culture across various platforms.
• Develop visually appealing marketing and engagement assets including organic and paid social graphics, departmental collateral, PowerPoint presentations, and other outreach materials.
• Develop visually appealing and shareable content, including images and graphics, to enhance online presence and engagement.
• Coordinate and conduct interviews with key personnel, residents, SMEs and partners to gather insights and create impactful content.
• Plan, script, record, and edit videos to be used for social media, website, marketing, training, and promotional purposes.
• Pursue content capturing in the field, out in the community, and by actively engaging with stakeholders and partners.
