About The Position

Principal Financial Group is hiring a Content Marketing Strategist to join our Retirement Income Solutions Marketing team! In this role, you will support diverse content creation across print and digital platforms to effectively engage audiences. Contribute to the business growth through storytelling, strategic content creation, and campaign activation aimed at showcasing distinct products, services, and capabilities to core audiences. Work marketing partners to suggest content ideas and implement extensive, coordinated marketing campaigns across diverse channels and platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to ensure cohesive messaging and brand representation and innovative content. Plan, develop, build, and publish engaging content that is aligned with central initiatives. Write, edit, proofread, and offer constructive feedback to ensure consistent alignment with brand voice and style. Translate complex concepts into content that results in clear, concise, reader-friendly, effective, and compelling marketing copy. Cultivate an understanding and application of target market research, marketing content and competitive trends, market dynamics, and regulations. Share topics and trends with the broader marketing team and make recommendations on process, campaign, and content improvement. Track and analyze the performance of published content and interpret the data to measure efficiency and draw actionable conclusions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of content marketing experience.
  • Skilled in storytelling and simplifying technical information.
  • Ability to collaborate on full-scale campaigns for various channels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, writing, editorial, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Diligent with excellent planning, delegation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to translate data analytics into implications.
