About The Position

The Hun School seeks a skilled Content Creator and Social Media Specialist who will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and delivering compelling content that supports the School’s mission, messaging, and institutional priorities. This person will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications and work collaboratively to manage channels across the External Affairs team, including the School’s main social channels. This role requires a creative professional who recognizes the power of storytelling through a variety of media, including but not limited to photography and videography.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Outstanding technical skills, and an aptitude and willingness for learning new software and systems
  • Detail oriented as well as thorough and accurate
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects and adhere to deadlines
  • High degree of flexibility, agility and adaptability to changes, and unafraid of challenges

  • Capacity to periodically work beyond and outside the typical workday, which may include evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute engaging digital content that supports marketing, admission, and advancement initiatives and campaigns
  • Manage the School’s umbrella social channels
  • Capture and edit photographs and video footage for use in digital and print platforms
  • Maintain a digital archive of photos and video footage for the External Affairs team
  • Manage and maintain a consistent visual and editorial style that aligns with the School’s brand identity
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to align content with overall School messaging, marketing strategies, digital campaigns
  • Support Admission and Advancement teams with content that drives engagement, enrollment, and donor support
  • Support the Digital Media Specialist with graphic design work when needed, such as social posts, event signage and branding, and apparel, as well as assisting with pop-up store operation
  • Support the overall objectives of the Marketing and Communication Office
  • Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, which may be altered or redesigned as necessary
