About The Position

At Breadcrumb, we’re building technology that makes jobsites safer, more connected, and more compliant - trusted by leading construction businesses globally. Who we are: Headquartered in Melbourne with growing offices in both London and San Francisco, Breadcrumb is now looking to hire our first US-based Social Media & Content Creator. Over the past four years, Breadcrumb has grown from a start-up of 15 people to a global team of 70+ (and growing quickly). Our tool is used by more than 1,000 construction companies and over 1 million workers across ANZ, UKI, and North America. We know that most marketers don’t dream of working for a construction tech company, but they do dream of working for a business that is seeing high scaling year-on-year growth with a marketing budget to match, and a team culture based on trust. Our brand expression makes us different. We don’t want to appear like every other tech product in the construction industry. Humour is a massive part of how we show up in the market and that means there’s plenty of room for experimentation and creativity in this role. For a flavour of our brand voice, watch our US brand video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asHmaRdQY4Y Why we’re hiring a US-based Social Media & Content Creator: After hiring for this role in the UK and seeing great success with client co-marketing and video-led content creation, we’re now looking to find another creative social media marketer, this time based in the States. The role presents an opportunity for someone to make it their own, build out a US content strategy, come up with new and creative ways to engage our audience, all while being supported by a team who cares about the impact marketing has on the business and will provide the resources to make it happen.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in marketing (preferably in tech or SaaS).
  • Confidence with video creation and a willingness to get in front of the camera.
  • Editing skills in Capcut or a similar software.
  • Ideas machine - you know you’ll be able to think creatively about how to engage the construction industry.
  • A good eye for design - this role isn’t all about video, you’ll be required to use our brand guidelines to design up other content as well.
  • The ability to confidently pitch ideas and execute them - spotting good content opportunities and proactively suggesting these to our team and our clients.
  • Strategic mindset - before you post anything you’re asking: why this? What value does it offer? How do I want my audience to engage?

Responsibilities

  • Leading the creation of our content plan and calendar for the US.
  • Creating regular video-led content for LinkedIn (the fun, creative kind, not the boring talking-head kind) - this has been a real differentiator for us in the construction industry and one we’ll continue to lean into.
  • Building out a list of co-marketing ops with our clients and creating a repeatable process for the future (we already have a bunch of ops that are just waiting to be brought to life).
  • Creating 6-8 high-value case studies with our US clients each year.
  • Empowering our US-based leadership team to post on LinkedIn by building out a plan and meeting with them individually to co-create content.
  • Collaborating with our product team to engage our customers better through email marketing and social content.
  • If you have a penchant for design, we’ll ask you to assist the wider marketing team with design work, from social tiles and carousels to event backdrops (this won’t make up the majority of your job).
  • Conducting regular content reviews to assess what’s working and what isn’t - then taking these insights into future content-creation and planning.

Benefits

  • Bonus of 10% if the company hits their annual targets.
  • ESOP options so our team can get a slice of Breadcrumb’s success.
  • We invest in our teams’ wellbeing and professional development with support that includes paid mental health days off, an EAP, annual individual professional and personal growth funding.
  • Flexibility to work remote.
  • A culture that values curiosity, innovation, and doing great work together to achieve collective success.
  • Medical Benefits.
  • 4 weeks PTO.
