About The Position

The Content Coordinator is an entry-level, editorial position focused on supporting the content team across a variety of tasks including writing, editing, auditing, data entry, fact-checking, and other tasks as needed. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door at the nation’s leading destination marketing company.  WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Thrives in a fast-paced environment (virtually and in person). Experience supporting a wide array of projects simultaneously. Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Great attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage many projects under tight deadlines. Able to manage own workflow while coordinating with project teams and management on schedules, requirements, goals, and assignments as needed. Able to respond positively to customer and peer criticism and feedback. Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Able to effectively manage relationships, both internally and externally. Superior organizational skills, with the ability to task switch/multitask and reprioritize deadlines as needed. Displays a dependable, strong work ethic.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years’ experience in content development across digital and/or print channels (can include internships and educational experience).
  • Basic understanding of and continual self-education on marketing best practices.
  • Demonstrate a healthy balance of creative, editorial, and technical skills.
  • Proficient with web-content best practices, including SEO and uploading content into a content management system.
  • Ability to navigate digital-media platforms.
  • Ability to review and distill multiple sources of information to support assigned work.

Responsibilities

  • Copyedits digital and print content for grammar/spelling and to ensure overall accuracy, consistency, tone, style, and brand consistency.
  • Audits digital content and provide feedback on content quality, search optimization, and other best practices.
  • Provides basic analysis of audited data and content.
  • Manages content on websites using best practices for content entry, formatting, tagging, SEO, and other considerations.
  • Supports other content creators through collaboration on writing, story ideas, copyediting, and proofreading content.
  • Creates high-quality travel marketing content for multiple platforms.
