About The Position

Marquee Sports Network is the exclusive television home of the Chicago Cubs in partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group. It is the Chicago region’s exclusive network for fans to view live Cubs games, and features extensive pregame and postgame coverage, exclusive Cubs content and other local sports programming. Marquee Sports Network brings together one of the most iconic sports franchises in the country with one of the largest TV broadcasting companies to deliver unprecedented Cubs coverage for fans. The Seasonal Content Coordinator will assist the Production, Product and Marketing departments with day-to-day operations up to five days per week during the 2026 Cubs season, particularly in video editing and publishing, app programming and social media tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or current study in a related program
  • Prior experience and/or coursework focused on video editing and social media content
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; previous video headline and caption writing experience a plus
  • Experience with content creation, preferably within the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign) and AVID; vertical video editing experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to assist in executing editorial and creative decisions under supervision
  • Passionate about sports, with a proven knowledge of Cubs baseball current and past
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Highly productive while working independently or collaborating with others
  • Ability to receive feedback from others and quickly apply it
  • Ability to work nights and weekends from March to October

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI editing tools and a CMS such as WordPress preferred
  • Proven analytics tool usage and app/product programming experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Clip and post video content into the Marquee Sports Network app in line with audience traffic and trends, and the company’s subscriber-only and subscriber-first strategy
  • Update app graphics to reflect the latest content available only to Marquee subscribers
  • Monitor Marquee Sports Network live streams and report any issues to proper channels
  • Edit Cubs condensed game highlights and postgame press conference roundups for distribution on Marquee’s YouTube page and other platforms
  • Create video and graphics in the Adobe Creative Suite and AVID as assigned by the VP of Content, Executive Producer or Director of Growth Marketing
  • Contribute to ideation, execution and management of Marquee Sports Network social media platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok
  • Stay up to date on Cubs news and contribute coverage ideas to content leadership and in team meetings
