About The Position

Torch Technologies Inc., is seeking an experienced CI/CD and Containerization Engineer to design, build, and support automated pipelines that streamline software build, test, and deployment processes. In this role, you will be critical in enabling rapid and reliable software delivery across our organization, supporting our engineering teams with scalable DevOps solutions. As a Containerization and Continuous Integration / Continuous Development Engineer (CI/CD )Engineer, your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps practices.
  • Active or eligible for DoD Security Clearance.
  • Work performed in a classified environment. Must be able to comply with all security and access requirements.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, Tekton, or ArgoCD.
  • Proficiency with Linux-based systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application development.
  • Experience deploying and managing containers using Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting and basic programming skills (Bash, Python, Groovy).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
  • Intermediate experience with test automation and artifact management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and clearly communicate technical concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications and environments.
  • Automate build, test, and deploy workflows to accelerate release cycles.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and manage container lifecycles.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using orchestration platforms (Kubernetes preferred).
  • Integrate automated testing, security scans, quality checks, and artifact management into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to streamline build, deployment, and release processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve build, integration, and deployment issues.
  • Monitor CI/CD pipeline performance, reliability, and metrics; recommend and implement improvements.
  • Maintain and support version control systems and branching strategies.
  • Ensure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure comply with security, compliance, and infrastructure standards.
  • Document CI/CD processes, standards, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Provide support for cloud and on-prem infrastructure services related to CI/CD workflows.
  • 100% of the work is performed at customer site: No telework or remote work option is available.
