Career Opportunity: CCCN is seeking a Contact Center Care Coordiantor - Pre-Services Coordinator at the Central Business Office in Henderson, Nevada. The pre-services coordinator is responsible for scheduling and pre-registering new patients for exams and procedures. In this role, you will work with some of the best physicians in their fields while providing care to patients in a successful healthcare organization. SCOPE : Under general supervision, is responsible for scheduling and pre-registering new patients for exams and procedures. Maintains patient records, prepares forms, verifies information, and resolves routine and non-routine problems. Follows standard procedures and pre-established guidelines to complete tasks. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and US Oncology’s Shared Values.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of medical receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software required.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft (Outlook, Office Word, and Excel) required.
  • Must successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Finance, Business or four years of revenue cycle experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of this practice’s personnel, daily routines, and scheduling is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming calls and asks appropriate questions to assess patients’ needs.
  • Schedules new patient appointments with the appropriate provider.
  • Provides patients with appointment details such as time, location, directions, and instructions to patients.
  • Records call statistics in New Patient Log.
  • Maintains and updates physician schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly.
  • Works in conjunction with the triage nurses to accommodate scheduling requests.
  • Obtains patient demographic, insurance, and other pre-visit required information.
  • Enters patient information into computer systems.
  • Verifies patient insurance eligibility and benefit coverage/co-pays with payer; verifies pre-authorizations are completed prior to patient visit.
  • May mail or email the patient appropriate medical forms for completion prior to the first visit.
  • Proactively follows up with patients on missing or outdated insurance information as well as copies of medical records and test results from other providers.
  • Maintains the strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • Other duties as requested or assigned.
