About The Position

The Consumer Marketing Manager will drive both customer lifecycle performance and strategic growth initiatives across key Assurant programs. This hybrid role combines ownership of CRM, engagement, and retention (B2C) with leadership of marketing strategy, client growth, and sales enablement (B2B). You will serve as a strategic marketing partner to internal teams and external clients, driving consumer engagement, client program performance, and overall business growth through data-driven insights, cross-functional orchestration, and innovative marketing programs. The ideal candidate will have deep consumer and B2B marketing expertise, with strong experience in growth and retention marketing across the full customer lifecycle, with a proven ability to drive acquisition, engagement, renewal, and overall program performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Product Management, Business Administration or other related field
  • 8+ years relevant experience in marketing with strong focus in digital marketing, ecommerce, consumer marketing, B2B marketing, marketing research and analytics.
  • 5+ years’ consumer marketing experience including product positioning, promotions, campaigns, and sales across multiple channels
  • 5+ years’ experience working with clients/partners, exhibiting the ability to generate maximum return through effective marketing strategies and direction
  • Direct experience with developing, executing and measuring successful B2C and B2B marketing strategies, plans and campaigns.
  • Experience working directly with clients or partners, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent people skills; ability to build relationships, navigate cross-functional teams and internal/external resources.
  • Comfortable working in matrixed environments.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with complex and changing market dynamics.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years relevant experience in marketing with strong focus in digital marketing, ecommerce, consumer marketing, B2B marketing, marketing research and analytics.
  • 4+ years’ product marketing experience including brand, product positioning, promotions, campaigns, communications, market research, sales and distribution support
  • Proven experience in customer, client and market research
  • Deep understanding of martech and analytics tools including Google Analytics (GA4 preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle, CRM & Retention Marketing (B2C Focus) Lead strategy, development, and optimization of email, SMS, and automated lifecycle programs.
  • Build and scale segmentation, personalization, and journey mapping across onboarding, engagement, and renewal.
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop promotions calendars, KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards to track lifecycle performance.
  • Use A/B testing across creative, segmentation, offers, and personalization to improve channel effectiveness.
  • Drive retention and renewal strategies in partnership with Sales, Product, Operations, and senior leadership.
  • Leverage AI and advanced martech to enhance growth and operational efficiency.
  • Marketing Strategy, Research & Analytics Use data and insights to inform strategies, optimize performance, and create recommendations for both B2C and B2B programs.
  • Track campaign KPIs, report on performance trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead research projects such as message testing, naming, offer placement, and consumer comprehension studies.
  • Serve as SME for retail and home services marketing research, analyzing competitive and customer insights.
  • Monitor client program performance to identify opportunities for optimization and create proactive strategies.
  • B2B Marketing & Sales Enablement Support Partner with Marketing Strategy & Planning team to coordinate paid, earned and owned opportunities for your accounts and in coordination of key client launches and milestones.
  • Adapt and create content, campaigns and communications targeted to your clients and prospects.
  • Partner to distribute through marketing or sales/account channels.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Strategy, sales and business development teams to develop proactive win strategies and associated messaging for target clients and opportunities.
  • Lead development of storytelling framework for assigned accounts, ensuring relevance, consistency, clarity and accuracy.
  • Proactively create and maintain sales enablement materials, content and communications your clients and prospects.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership Lead cross-functional initiatives with partners across Technology, Sales, Product, Operations, Data, and Creative.
  • Ensure alignment and flawless execution across email/SMS workflows, creative development, compliance reviews, and client deliverables.
  • Drive collaboration to ensure CRM and growth marketing programs support broader business objectives.
  • Serve as primary CRM owner, overseeing campaign development, testing, QA, deployment, and list hygiene.
