We're seeking an experienced Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist to serve as the department's subject matter expert for servicing-related functions. This role ensures accurate, compliant, and member‑focused servicing of consumer loan products while supporting cross‑functional teams and enhancing operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of consumer loan servicing experience, or equivalent experience in financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary expert for complex loan servicing questions and scenarios.
  • Create, update, and document servicing procedures for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support testing and rollout of new products, services, and system changes.
  • Manage compromised and deceased member accounts with care and precision.
  • Provide advanced post‑closing support including payment adjustments, due date changes, account transfers, balance transfers, and rate modifications.
  • Process HELOC closures, reconveyances, demand requests, MBP/GAP refunds, and Debt Protection reports/claims.
  • Reconcile GL accounts, complete month‑end processes, and maintain TOUCHE data for loan and credit card accounts.
  • Monitor weekly loan reports, correct data quality issues, and maintain accurate system records.
  • Provide payoff quotes, loan assumption support, and SCRA‑related adjustments.
  • Maintain department records, prepare reports, support audits, and manage OnBase storage.
  • Track and obtain proof of insurance; resolve insurance deficiencies for HELOCs.
  • Serve as backup for DMV title functions, including audits, subordinations, and insurance uploads.
  • Assist lending and management teams with audit support and special projects.
  • Process requests from the consumer loan inbox and manage departmental mail flow.
  • Support loan processing through file maintenance, funding assistance, and packet preparation.
  • Provide frontline staff training, including participation in lending development programs.
  • Respond to member inquiries regarding loans, credit cards, credit ratings, and deposit verifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member issues with professionalism.
  • Educate members on SESLOC products and services, identifying opportunities to enhance their financial well‑being.
  • Uphold SESLOC's high standard of member service in every interaction.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support department and organizational success.
