The Consumer team at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL) is seeking an Investment Banking Vice President. BGL’s growing Consumer team focuses on several key areas: e-Commerce, Branded Consumer Products and Consumer & Residential Services. This opportunity is open to our Chicago, IL office.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience focused on mergers and acquisitions Investment Banking preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Strong sell-side M&A experience, as well as experience in buy-side and capital raising transactions
  • FINRA Licenses 63 & 79
  • Proven track record of strong transaction execution including new business presentations, financial analysis, transaction marketing documents and preparation of other related materials
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and organization skills

Responsibilities

  • Supports senior bankers in transaction execution and client management
  • Leads day-to-day execution of transactions
  • Manages junior bankers and reviews their work product
  • Conducts due diligence
  • Develops marketing materials, financial models, transaction related materials and presentations
  • Identifies potential investors, lenders, buyers, and acquisition targets
  • Manages the transaction marketing process
  • Participates in new business development
  • Provides mentorship to Associates and Analysts
