Baker Tilly Capital, LLC, a boutique investment bank specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), capital sourcing, project finance and corporate finance advisory services, has an incredible career opportunity for a Senior Vice President to join our growing practice in our Chicago, Dallas or Los Angeles offices. As an Investment Banking Senior Vice President, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with a captive internal audience of clients from the 6th largest Advisory CPA firm in the nation. This role will leverage your expertise to provide tailored financial solutions and strategic advice to a diverse and influential client base. Our M&A practice is made up of professionals working closely with middle market companies nationwide to help maximize opportunity and minimize risk associated with a variety of strategic transactions to grow, acquire, consolidate, finance or exit a business. Paired with strong client relationships and business-focused perspectives, this specialization allows us to bring tangible value to each client engagement or transaction. Requirements

  • Bachelor's and / or Master of Business Administration degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
  • FINRA Series 63 and Series 79 licenses
  • Five + years’ experience in investment banking, professional services firm experience preferred.
  • Candidates may also have two + years of mergers and acquisition experience at a mid-size to large investment bank.
  • 1+ year(s) of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling analysts and associates desired
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, project management, communication, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills required.
  • Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work on transactions from beginning to close, including sell-side, buy-side and financing mandates, working closely with the transaction team and other outside advisors
  • Analyze risks and opportunities while advising both strategic and private equity buyers and sellers on alternative strategies for acquisition, disposition, and financing of businesses
  • Review and analyze contracts and agreements
  • Communicate structured finance and/or M&A deal structure with clients
  • Assist with managing pitch opportunities and client engagements
  • Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships within the firm and externally with clients, attorneys, lenders, and other professionals
  • Utilize your executive marketing, finance, and communication skills to position client businesses for maximum value by identifying and effectively communicating key value drivers of the business.

  • Support the growth and development of team members and help associates and analysts meet their professional goals
